Florence

Well Florence was just amazing, easily our favourite of the trip. I had to include 3 pictures of Maree and my new favourite paintings...they are just a shadow of the real thing which we were so lucky to see, but all the same they give you the idea. Also, I wasn't going to go in and see David, but I am so happy Maree wanted to because it was just amazing...perhaps it sounds strange, but it conveyed such emotion and beauty. Also the rest of the museum was filled with great artworks that we spent quite a while looking at too.

The city itself is also nice...smaller and somehow more personal than Rome, and much easier to navigate than Venice. We also found the best gelati shop of the trip here.
